Martin May specializes in finely detailed pen and ink drawings.  He works from several photographs.  His work is done using various sizes of technical pens on high quality watercolor paper with India ink. A touch of color, depending on the subject matter, is sometimes added. Most of his originals, however, are black on white.

Marty’s work is being shown in galleries and shows throughout the United States. Many private and corporate collections throughout North America, Europe and China contain his work.  His art has won numerous awards, is used as logos, and has been published in sporting magazines, newspapers, brochures, and books.

Marty attended the John Hussian School of Art and The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  After twenty years in commercial art he resumed his fine art career twenty years ago.  He specializes in finely detailed pen and ink drawings of private homes and commercial buildings. Some of his latest works show his sense of humor as well as artistic ability.

Marty, his wife and daughter are long time residents of Chester County, PA and Potter County PA. In these places Marty continues to improve his technique while being close to the wildlife and historic surroundings which are so much a part of his life and his art.
